What We Know About The CFORCE ATV Recall

On May 6, 2021 the Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) posted a recall notice involving CFMOTO’s CFORCE 800XC ATVs due to a defect in the electronic power steering (EPS). According to the recall announcement, the EPS “can malfunction and cause the rider to lose control of the vehicle, posing a crash hazard”.

The recall involves over 2,000 ATVs. They were sold at CFMOTO dealers nationwide between September 2020 – April 2021. As of May 6, 2021, there had been 3 reports of EPS failure and 2 reports of injuries. CFMOTO says consumers should stop using the ATVs immediately.
