Jennifer A. Christian is a Partner at ASK LLP. Jennifer’s practice focuses on representing indenture trustees, secured and unsecured creditors (including trade creditors), asset purchasers, liquidating trustees, and other major constituencies in Chapter 11 and Chapter 7 bankruptcy cases and other proceedings.
Jennifer has more than 15 years of bankruptcy and creditors’ rights experience. Prior to joining ASK LLP, Jennifer was Counsel at Thompson & Knight LLP and an Associate at Kelley, Drye & Warren LLP and Bryan Cave LLP. Prior to entering private practice, Jennifer clerked for two years for the Chief Judge of the United States Bankruptcy Court for the Western District of New York in Rochester, New York.
Jennifer earned her J.D. from St. John’s University School of Law in 2000, where she graduated on the Dean’s List. While at St. John’s, Jennifer participated in the first-ever Bankruptcy LL.M. program and won the Springer Legislative Award for Excellence in Legislative Advocacy and the CALI Excellence for the Future Scholastic Awards in Trusts & Estates and Legislative Advocacy. During law school, Jennifer interned at the United States Bankruptcy Court for the Southern District of New York for The Honorable James L. Garrity, Jr.
Jennifer graduated from the State University of New York – College at Geneseo with a B.A. in Political Science in 1996. While at Geneseo, Jennifer was on the Dean’s List and the Political Science Honor Roll, had a Geneseo Foundation Merit Scholarship and was named to Pi Sigma Alpha and the National Order of Omega honor societies. Jennifer interned at both the Monroe County District Attorneys’ Office and the White House, where she worked in the Office of the Legal Counsel to the Vice President of the United States.
Jennifer is admitted to practice law in the states of New York and Connecticut, and the United States District Courts for the Southern, Eastern and Western Districts of New York.
